July 22, 2025 – Las Vegas, NV

The 2025 NBA Summer League has officially wrapped in Las Vegas, and if this year’s event was any indication, the next generation of basketball is not only here — it’s electric.

From the sold-out showings of No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg, to the emotional reunion of Adem Bona and Stefan Todorovic as professional teammates, the NBA 2K26 Summer League was filled with powerful moments that define what we at Full Court Dream celebrate: the journey.

Cooper Flagg: The Summer’s Main Attraction

All eyes were on Cooper Flagg, the Dallas Mavericks’ top pick and the most hyped prospect since LeBron James. And even though he only played two games before being shut down for precautionary reasons, Flagg did not disappoint. In his limited minutes, he showcased elite court vision, suffocating defense, and the kind of confidence that made it clear: he’s ready for the spotlight.

Flagg’s poise was complemented by the presence of three of his high school teammates from Montverde Academy, all first-round picks in the 2025 NBA Draft:

  • Derik Queen – now with the New Orleans Pelicans, showed interior dominance and footwork reminiscent of an NBA veteran.
  • Asa Newell – suiting up for the Atlanta Hawks, brought energy and versatility on both ends of the floor.
  • Liam McNeeley – drafted by the Charlotte Hornets, played an integral role in their championship run.

Watching four former high school teammates perform on the NBA stage was more than exciting — it was a testament to development, sacrifice, and elite preparation. For Cooper Flagg and company, the NBA isn’t just the next chapter — it’s a continuation of the Full Court Dream they began writing years ago.

Hornets Take the Crown, Knueppel Claims MVP

The Charlotte Hornets were crowned 2025 NBA 2K26 Summer League Champions after defeating the Sacramento Kings in the final. Their title run was led by No. 4 overall pick Kon Knueppel, who was named Summer League MVP.

Knueppel, a former Duke Blue Devil, played with the precision and maturity of a seasoned vet. He averaged over 21 points per game and was lethal from the perimeter. His ability to create for himself and others made Charlotte a nightmare matchup for opponents and positioned the Hornets as one of the most exciting young teams heading into the 2025–26 season.

The Return of a Dream: Bona and Todorovic Reunited

Among the most heartwarming and inspiring stories in Las Vegas was the reunion of Adem Bona and Stefan Todorovic— former Prolific Prep teammates and now reunited on the Philadelphia 76ers’ Summer League roster.

At Prolific Prep, Bona and Todorovic were cornerstones of a dominant team chasing a GEICO Nationals title. Though that dream was cut short, they now share the court again — this time as professionals — chasing a new dream under the bright lights of the NBA.

Bona, who played at UCLA, continues to impress with his energy, rebounding, and elite shot-blocking. Todorovic, who starred at Pepperdine, has grown into a reliable floor-spacer and secondary playmaker. Watching the two embrace before tip-off in Vegas was a moment few in the gym will forget — a symbol of what Full Court Dream is all about: talent, trust, and the long road to success.

Other Dream Chasers Making Waves

The Summer League was filled with other inspiring Full Court Dream stories:

  • Maxwell Lewis, a former standout at AZ Compass Prep, suited up for the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he shared the floor with Cooper Flagg.
  • DaRon Holmes II was drafted by the Denver Nuggets but sat out the Summer League while rehabbing an injury — still, his NBA dream is alive and well.
  • Damion Baugh played key minutes for the Charlotte Hornets, contributing to their title win with steady leadership and on-ball pressure.
  • Yves Missi, another Prolific Prep product, returned to Summer League after making the NBA All-Rookie Team in his first year with the New Orleans Pelicans, showing continued growth and leadership.

The Legacy of the Summer League

The NBA Summer League has grown far beyond a proving ground. It’s where old teammates reunite, new legacies are forged, and dreams — long nurtured in gyms, prep schools, and grassroots tournaments — begin to crystallize on the pro stage.

At Full Court Dream, we’re committed to telling these stories — stories like Flagg’s fast rise, Knueppel’s MVP run, and the full-circle journey of Bona and Todorovic.

Because every dunk, every assist, every reunion, and every debut matters when you’re chasing your Full Court Dream.
