SEPA Closes Day One With Statement Win Over Bella Vista

Napa Valley, Calif. — Day one of the Crush in the Valley Basketball Showcase concluded Friday night at Napa Valley College with an emphatic performance from SEPA (Florida), as the Falcons pulled away from Bella Vista (Arizona) for a commanding win in the final game of the evening.

The matchup opened with both teams trading baskets and testing each other’s defensive schemes in the early minutes of the first quarter. Bella Vista showed toughness and composure, but once SEPA found its rhythm, the balance of the game shifted decisively.

Leading the charge was CJ Rosser Jr., who delivered a dominant all-around performance with 21 points and 10 rebounds, recording a double-double and setting the tone on both ends of the floor. SEPA seized control by the second quarter and never relinquished it, using disciplined defense and efficient scoring to create separation.

SEPA’s depth proved to be the difference. Obinna Ekize Jr., familiar with the Napa Valley College floor after spending the past two seasons at Prolific Prep, added a strong interior presence with 14 points and 11 rebounds, giving the Falcons a second double-double on the night. In the backcourt, Beckham Black and Kellan Cantrell each contributed 11 points, keeping the offense balanced and the pressure constant.

Bella Vista made several pushes to cut into the deficit, showing resilience and fight throughout the middle quarters. Each time, however, SEPA responded. The Falcons put the game away in the fourth quarter, erupting for 28 points to close out the contest and secure a convincing victory.

The win capped an impressive opening day for SEPA and set the stage for a competitive weekend in Napa Valley.
